12th Anniversary!
December 29, 2011...We celebrated 12 years of bliss with Rawlee and Daisy this year. We headed up to Emigration Canyon for one of our favorite places for breakfast, Ruth's Diner. Then we went to Farmington Station to shop and of course a movie followed later in the day. Blake and I have commented to each other several times and it is true...love only gets better over the years. As we grow up in life, we have been blessed to love deeper, see clearer, understand better and appreciate more.
Christmas Day
At last, Christmas Day is here! Today was filled with perfect moments of anticipation, excitement, laughter, and surprise. After all the presents were open and being played with, Blake and I told the kids there was one last present. In a big red box, a huge surprise was awaiting that they knew nothing about. They started opening with curiosity, and discovered a Disney character ornament for each of them, a vacation planner to Disneyland, and pirate shirts for the boys and a Tinkerbell shirt for Kayla. Paden looked at us, puzzled, until we confirmed that, YES! we were all going to Disneyland in 3 weeks. They immediately started jumping up and down and screaming with excitement. The best part of the morning had come for mom and dad to see this big moment. (We really were just as excited to go!)
Twas the night before Christmas.....
Twas the night before Christmas and all through Joy's family room, cousins ready for the Nativity and their parts to come soon. The shepards were excited, reverent was Mary, joyous the angels, Father Joseph delighted. Everyone gathered 'round, Grandpa reading the scripture, of the night Jesus was born, the scene like a picture. Then back to our homes to await St. Nick, tired kiddos and parents; a good night's sleep would do the trick. We are blessed with so much, "all is well," we delight, Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
Tyce's 7th Birthday (12-21-11)
Happy Birthday to our playful, happy, crazy 7 year old! Tyce, we love your smiling face and cheerful ways. You make us so happy and full of energy when we are with you. Today was a fun day, no school, gingerbread house building, and date night with mom and dad at the Old Spaghetti Factory in Taylorsville. We ate in the trolley car and Tyce had the biggest plate of spaghetti with meatballs he could handle, followed by ice cream and a loud, Happy Birthday song from the waiters. It was a fun night with just us and our birthday boy.
